A nice spot for a donut, although signage is poor if you are not familiar with the area. Lake Plaza Donuts and Grill is the former Daylight Donuts. Located next to the Subway in Greers Ferry, it is a nice spot to grab a donut or some bacon & eggs before hitting the water. I first chowed down on the standard glazed donut, which I thought was average. I ate it in about 15 seconds, but to be honest that's standard donut time for me. Not bad, but not great. Three stars. My favorite sampling of the morning was the pine cone, a gigantic fried cinnamon roll. For $1.99. No joke. Wow, this was great. Also had a bite of an apple fritter, which was OK. The pine cone is good enough to be 4 stars, and the service was fabulous. They should get a sign on the road! I give it 3 stars because it's a nice spot to eat too many calories. I would eat here again.
